We are all of Gaia's Guild

“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”

― Albert Einstein

Our name, Gaia's Guild, honours the Greek Earth Goddess Gaia. In harmony with James Lovelock's Gaia Paradigm, the earth is an intelligent living presence, and this model aligns with the beliefs of myriad indigenous cultures worldwide. She is self aware, self regulating, responsive and continuously creating conditions for new life to emerge!

We heal & are healed by Gaia (with her many names). Our outer world is a reflection of our inner world.

We have the resilience & regenerative power within to heal ourselves.
At Gaia's Guild, we offer support on your healing path,

so that we can trust in ourselves, and in life,

so that we can love at our fullest capacity,

and create courageously.

Hi Gaia's, I'm Laura Walker, Creator of Gaia's Guild

I began my journey with Permaculture Design in 2011, drawn to its solutions-based, systems-thinking approach to caring for people and the planet. It gave me a way to put my love into action—to live in alignment with the earth and with my values.

For two years, I traveled through the World Wide Organization of Organic Farming, getting my hands in the soil and learning what it truly means to tend the land and live in community. In 2014, I made my home on the Sunshine Coast and deepened my path of healing by studying in the Circle of Council: Pathways to Intimacy with Grandmother Kaariina Saarinen for two years. That experience planted a seed in me—one that has grown steadily, drawing from ancient roots, reverence & deep soul remembrance. I went on to become a Reiki Master through Interconnected Living and trained in Life Coaching and Counselling at Rhodes Wellness College.

In 2015, I brought Gaia’s Guild to life as a Permaculture Design business. Since then, I’ve worked with non-profits, community groups and private residences to design and coordinate gardens, mentor others in landscaping, and organize events rooted in regeneration and connection. Gaia’s Guild has grown with me—now offering Life Design alongside Land Design, as well as Sound Ceremonies & Song Circles that invite deep healing and weave spirit, song, and stillness into sacred experience.

I’ve been playing music for as long as I can remember. The Celtic harp is my heart’s instrument, though I also play keyboard, frame drum, steel drum, and other acoustic gems I’ve gathered along the way.

I've had the honour of completing the Plant Priestess Training, as well as participating in sound journeys and guardianship with the Women’s Temple of Plant Spirit Medicine in Gibsons, on the unceded territory of the shíshálh and Squamish Nations. The temple is founded by Renée Boje—Canada’s first cannabis refugee—who, while advocating for her own freedom, also opened Vancouver’s first entheogen shop, Urban Shaman Entheobotanicals. Her work left a lasting imprint on my path.

I'm continually inspired to reconnect with my Celtic ancestry—through language, song, myth, story, and the earth-honouring spiritual traditions that run deep in this lineage. I especially love singing in the Celtic languages, letting the harp weave the spirit of the old songs into the living thread of my ancestry.
