Hi, I'm Laura Walker, the creator of Gaia's Guild: Ecological & Edible Landscaping. I have been a Permaculture Designer with Gaia's Guild since 2015 and an Organic Master Gardener for 13 years. I am a core member of the Sunshine Coast Seed Saving Collective. For many years I have worked with the local non-profit One Straw Society on community garden design & coordination and volunteer, project & event coordination. I have worked as a landscaping mentor in the Full Circle Program with MetroWorks Social Enterprise.

I am a settler on the Unceded Traditional Lands of the shíshálh Nation and the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw aiming to live in right relationship with the ancient cultures & ecology present here. Gaia's Guild focusses on native plant designs to restore biodiversity, create habitat for the local fauna and grow local food, medicine and craft materials in both private and community gardens.

I am also on a journey of remembering my Celtic roots & culture, through language, story, myth, music and the sovereignty of the land. I am enjoying learning songs in Celtic languages & composing in Proto Celtic, and bringing these songs into ceremony, journeys, song circles and ceilidhs.
